Recruitment Assistance

Deb stands by her ethos: 'If I wouldn't employ the candidate myself then I wouldn't offer them to my clients'.

If the typical recruitment supplier process is not suitable for our client due to cost and results, then Deb's approach is to:

  • Work closely with the client to understand and appreciate the their business and culture
  • Advertise on behalf of the client
  • Select 3-4 candidates, interview and present final candidate to client
  • Cost to the client is purely the time it takes to complete this process.
Business Systems

Working in conjunction with JLB a leader in management systems consulting in Australia for over 25 years—Deb works with clients to develop in Plain English documents tailored for key corporate business areas such as:

  • Quality Assurance
  • Occupational Health & Safety
  • Environmental Management

As a registered auditor, Deb also helps companies obtain the Secure Local Jobs Code (SLJC) certification they need to tender for building work, or undertake it, on ACT Government sites.

Management system maintenance is also a cornerstone of Deb's business. In particular:

  • Detailing Human Resources documentation

About Deb

Deb Northover is the Director of Northover Consulting and draws on her extensive industry experience and understanding of the critical drivers for professional service organisations. She has a solid network of industry contacts, across Australia, in many varied sectors.

Before starting up her consultancy business, Deb held several senior management positions in the engineering and building industry. These senior roles have given Deb a broad range of leadership and corporate skills in practice management, human resources, marketing, as well as strategic and financial management.

Deb is pro-active when it comes to working with organisations, she is keen to apply her experience and knowledge to improve business processes and procedures. Once Deb takes on a client, she becomes their advocate. She takes a genuine interest in supporting the business and its workers, and offers a high level of professional service.

Once Deb has been engaged as a consultant, she can quickly become the organisation’s point of contact for all corporate issues.

Deb is a qualified management system and SLJC auditor and has an Advanced Diploma of Business Management, a Diploma of Management, and is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.

Board Positions

Deb was elected on the board of Apprentice House Association Incorporated in January 2014.
